Volunteer Opportunities
Client Advocates
Client advocates provide options consultations for clients in an atmosphere of warmth and compassion through listening and other helping skills. AWF provides excellent preparatory training (15 hours of classroom instruction) as well as the observation of experienced client advocates. After sufficient instruction and observation, the staff works closely with new client advocates in performing their duties.
Time commitment – A two to three-hour per week commitment (Mondays through Thursdays between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M.) is requested and arranged according to the Center’s needs and the volunteer’s availability.
Why should you volunteer as a client advocate at A Woman’s Friend?
Because volunteering with AWF enables you to:

- Share the Gospel with the lost
- Make a difference in someone’s life
- Learn effective communication and listening skills
- Achieve spiritual growth with a stronger prayer life and dependence on God
- Learn how to educate others on adoption, abstinence and abortion
- Be a part of miracles in the lives of women and their unborn babies
Sexual Integrity Speaker
You will be part of providing our community’s youth with the message of sexual integrity by emphasizing the emotional, physical, and social benefits of postponing sex. Our volunteer speakers share their personal story with students to encourage them to wait until marriage to have sex.
Clinic Nurses (LVNs and RNs)
Clinic nurses work in conjunction with volunteer physicians providing support and care for clients. AWF provides excellent preparatory training (15 hours of classroom instruction) as well as clinic orientation provided by our Nurse Manager.
